The Lube Room Saloon
This is a must see in Beautiful Downtown Dorrington. The Famous Lube Room Saloon, known for its dive bar atmosphere with a full restaurant and bar. The outside yard has a stage for summertime concerts, corn hole and horseshoes. The inside it decorated with a variety of items brought in by all the guests throughout the years for everyone to enjoy.
Bear Valley
Ready to hit the slopes, teach your kid to snowboard/ski, or just feel like kicking back and drinking their signature Hot Apple Pie? Bear Valley has something for everyone! Be sure to head up early for good parking!
Bear Valley is also fun during the summer! They have an adventure park, summer camps and more!
Murphy's
This charming little town is a must. Good wine tasting, ice cream, boutique shopping, community park for the kids, you name it! There are too many great places here to list them all, but we suggest checking out the annual Irish Days Parade and The Ironstone Winery 4th of July Celebration and Summer Concert line up.
Big Trees State Park
Take a walk among the Giants! We bet you have never seen Sequoia Trees this big before. This amazing park has a huge variety of habitats and recreational opportunities to explore.
Caverns and Zip Lining
Calaveras county has some of the most amazing caverns that you have to see to believe! Go on your own or use a tour guide. Zip Lining is fun for the whole family and an awesome way to take in some of the breath taking views of the Sierra Nevadas.

The Rec Center is a members-only facility in Big Trees and features two beautiful pools, a children’s playground, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and shuffleboard courts, a baseball field, a picnic area, and more. Guests of the Dorrington Hotel should inquire with The Dorrington Hotel management during their stay for access.
